0% GST - What a relief for organizations like ours!

It was indeed a relief to organizations like ours when the 0% GST sets in as of June.  At least we can save some monies on our monthly expenditures to fight the ever increasing cost of drugs, food, etc purchased to maintain the animals under our care.

With a blink of an eye, we are almost past half the year of 2018. We are now preparing the release of our 10th Anniversary SPCA Calendar and the Founding Team will be designing the special edition for year 2019. We still have a few sponsored calendar pages to go.  Should you wish to sponsor, kindly email us on info@spca-penang.net and we will send you details.

Without obligation, this will be carried out on a first come first served basis.

SPCA Volunteer Briefing Announcement

Our next volunteer briefing workshop will be held on Saturday 23rd June  2018.

Time: 9 a.m.

Highlight on Adoption

Our adoptions in May saw an increase.  We had 7 dogs and 2 kittens who found caring homes. In comparison to that, we also receive more unwanted and abandoned cats and dogs. On one particular day when we saw one animal adopted we had eight brought in. We thought we will be relieved with one empty kennel space, but yet we need to crack our heads on trying to house the extras.  We are happy to say 'goodbye' to those leaving our shelter for their new homes. We are happy to note that Taxco the abandoned 5 year old Shih Tzu was found a new home after spending 5 months with us.  Also, while with us, he had undergone a surgery on his left eye.

Awareness & Fundraising Events  by Persatuan Bahasa Tionghua USM

On 13th May, SPCA was invited to receive a donation cheque at the USM.  This was a fundraising projected by the Siri Persembahan Pentas Persatuan Bahasa Tionghua 2017/18 Universiti Sains Malaysia.  A sum of RM1235 was handed over to the society.

CSR Project at Motorola Solutions Malaysia in Bayan Lepas

We had the opportunity to be invited to be part of the CSR project organized by the Finance Team of Motorola Solutions Malaysia.  We say thank you to the team who even went round the lunch tables to collect donations for the society. A sum of RM1025 was collected.

Team Building by AMD staff

Team building on their own, a good way to de-stress from the office and having a fun time with the animals.

Cakes and cookies
Should you think of appreciating friends and family by their act of kindness we have homemade Cakes and Cookies available for orders. Also available for all occasions.

SPCA Wish List

We thank all the well-wishers for fulfilling our request for donations of rice and dog food. We are always in need of donations in cash and in kind.  Whenever you have in mind for charity, do please give us a call to consult our officers and find out our needs.  We really appreciate that.

Help spread the news to encourage your friends and relatives to create awareness on the many animals waiting to be homed.  Help spread the news to encourage pet owners to neuter their pets to avoid abandonment of animals.

From SPCA TEAM and Furry Friends, we say Thank You.
