HOW DO I LOOK?
How do I look? Are we not appealing enough to be adopted? Dear Friends and the many who made it possible for the purchase of these collars and harnesses, we (4 paws at the SPCA) THANK YOU so much for dressing us up. Our heartfelt thanks also to our Hon. Veterinarian for bringing the items back from Down Under.

CHARITY PERFORMANCE AT PENANG PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE AT STRAITS QUAY IN AID OF SPCA - 7TH JUNE, 2015

To all you good people, we are back again for the second round of SYIOK SENDIRI 2, a Charity Sketch Performance in Aid of SPCA Penang at PenangPac in Straits Quay. Time: 8.30 p.m. Ticket sales for the show are now open to the general public as of 1st May 2015. Entry is by minimum donation RM40. To all those who missed the first show, please do come and support!

Sypnosis

We're back!!! What? You didn't expect us to just fizzle out like every other Malaysian thing now did you? Nope, not us! Especially after the success of the first Syiok Sendiri show in December, we would be fools to not give another go at ripping off our adoring fans!

This time, the saga continues with more drivel, more not-so-high-brow stuff, and a couple more cili padis. Once again, we would like to remind you to not be tersinggung and all 'cos it's all in good fun. If you are the senang butthurt type, this show's not for you.

So datanglah beramai-ramai to penangpac on 7 June at 8:30 P.M. and join in the fun as we put the Farty into Arty!

Special thanks to SmartHeart for making this charity show possible!

For Mature Audiences. Language: Primarily in English, with bits in local languages and dialects.

COMMUNITY SERVICE FROM COLLEGES, SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES
The month of April was filled with activities and talk presentations for the first time visitors to the Society. We are indeed very glad that Institutions of Learning have introduced Community Service at NGOs into their curriculum. This is a good way to educate the community on the environment outside of their own.

Visits from KDU Mass Comm students, Leo Club Of Han Chiang, Segi College students and the BABM 2013 Group from Segi College:

MEET OUR STARS ADOPTED IN APRIL

Twelve dogs and cats were adopted in April. Unfortunately one was returned as he (Rambo) could not fit into his new home, possibly an issue with the other paw friends in the family. Meet some of our STARS who were found happy homes:

For adoption kindly visit our website at www.spca-penang.net and go to our Adoption Gallery to see the many waiting to be rehomed.

SPCA 2016 DESKTOP CALENDAR
The response for Sponsoring a page in next year's 2016 Desktop Calendar was overwhelming. Pages for 11 months were taken and we have only the month of July/code 07 to be filled. SPCA would like to say 'THANK YOU' to the sponsors. For more details, please refer below flier:

VOLUNTEER BRIEFING DAY
Thirty new volunteers were received at our Volunteer Briefing Session held on 18th April, 2015. As always, most volunteers favor Sociailising and walking the animals at the pound. We do hope that they are able to continue giving their services to the animals at the shelter regularly.

Our next briefing is scheduled for 16.5.15 at 9 a.m. sharp. Should anyone wish to be a volunteer and does not know how to go about it, kindly download the volunteer application form, complete and bring it along with you that day. It is compulsory for all new volunteers to attend before they start to volunteer at the SPCA.

2015 DESKTOP CALENDAR
Our apologies for an error in the Public Holidays shown in this year's calendar (particularly Wesak Day). We went to print at the end of August 2014 and we used the dates available at that time.
