KINDNESS WEEK

It’s Kindness Week and SPCA had the opportunity to be invited to SJKC Aik Hua in Lebuh Muntri to give a talk on "KINDNESS TO ANIMALS" to its 71 students on 3rd April. It was indeed overwhelming to note that the students carried the message of SPCA's presence to their parents. A chat with the Principal also reveals that some of the students are slow learners, ans some are hyperactive requiring special needs care. We brought along a puppy and a kitten to introduce to the students about the needs of the animals as well as their responsibility towards them. The students were very excited to be greeted by our paw friends as some have not had the opportunity to feel and touch them. Also, it was so touching to note their generosity with the contributions of dog and cat food received after the talk.

SPCA sincerely thanks the Principal and Teachers involved in making this talk possible. In fact, this is our first school visit for this year. We hope to be able to visit more schools and touch on animal welfare.

Adoption Highlights

We saw a better month in March where we had six dogs and three cats adopted.

Some of you may remember we were looking for a foster family for a pregnant cat at the end of last year. Luckily we found one and in January she gave birth to four cute kittens while in the safety of her foster home. They came back to us in mid-March and the boy with a kitten at top left of the photo above is the sole female of these kittens. Three cute little boys (Benni, Bert & Pod) are still looking for their forever homes:
