Dear Members, Friends & to whom it may concern,
Greetings from the SPCA Penang!
From the SPCA Management Board and in conjunction with World Animal Day which falls on 4th October, SPCA is running a neutering program to reduce the number of strays being dumped in markets and public places etc.
To curb the pet overpopulation, we are providing some funds to eligible pet owners and community feeders to help reduce the cost of neutering for cats and dogs. (This is applicable preferably for pet owners. However, community feeders will also be considered.)
SPCA is offering neutering vouchers of amount RM100-RM200. Think for a moment, for every bitch spayed, you help to save 4372 dogs from being born and possibly euthanized. As for cats, the figure is very much higher. In September, a total of 99 cats & kittens were brought in/collected.
If you are in that category, we would appreciate if you could email us at info@spca-penang.net or come direct to the office to apply and receive our neutering voucher.
To be eligible, kindly bring along your pet’s vaccination card. Also, let us have the appointment date and name of veterinary clinic where the neutering will be performed.
The SPCA depends entirely on donations received by Well Wishers. It is within the discretion of the SPCA that SPCA rejects any application if it finds the application unsuitable. SPCA is not obliged to give a reason should any application be rejected. For convenience, one can download the application form here.
We look forward to work together to help create a 'stray free' Penang.
