SPCA Penang
Welcome to our August 2024 Newsletter!

Dear Members & Friends,

Good greetings to all!

We are disturbed with the actions of an unknown person suspected of placing poison and causing the tragic death of 30 strays and owned dogs that happened recently in Tanjong Bungah. We hope that the perpetrator can be caught and brought to court to face judgement.

Strays co-exist through mistakes made by humans. Sources of strays and how can this happen?

We sincerely hope every pet owner stays committed and ensures the well being of their pet. It’s a strain on shelters when pet owners become irresponsible!

Saturday 17th August is marked as International Homeless Animals Day (IHAD). To reduce and avoid unwanted pet population, we invite pet owners to neuter their pets when they come of age. Do consult your veterinarian for advice. To commemorate IHAD, SPCA is giving away Neutering Vouchers to pet owners. To be eligible for the vouchers, kindly complete this form and return it to us by email to info@spca-penang.net or bring it to our shelter during our opening hours.

Adoptions

In July, we had three cats and five dogs adopted. We are happy to note that the puppy who was fostered last June has a permanent home now.
