Adoptions

It is sad to note that we only had one dog, Delilah, who found a home in June. Delilah settles down well at her new home. She receives her daily walks and her new owner is very happy with her obedient character. Do visit our website at www.spca-penang.net to view our animals which are awaiting good homes.

Happenings

Community Service & Educational Talks

Various discussions on fundraising were held with students from UOW KDU and INTI College on how the students can collaborate with SPCA. We are happy to note that they have in mind a society like ours that is in need of charity. Their thoughts are greatly appreciated.

A group of ten students from the Inti College organised a fundraiser "Arcade for a Cause" on their own and also sold our SPCA Merchandise.

Students from the Penang Skills Development Centre visited for their Community Service:

UOW KDU are planning "Paws 4 A Greater Cause" event. Do support them - it is open to the public:

SJKC School at Lebuh Katz was visited and a talk on Responsible Pet Ownership was given. As usual we brought our mascots Clove (dog) & Crystal (cat) for the students to interact with. Most students present did not own any dog/cat of their own. This is a good way to introduce our paw friends as they were able to feel, pet and learn how to walk them as well.

Students from AUSMAT (Australian Matriculation) MCKL did their own fundraising and donated cat & dog food plus cleaning supplies:

In addition we had visits for community service by students from the Penang Wharf Centre and four Year 10 Uplanders who came for a one week work experience.

New Merchandise

We have our new design of tshirt and mugs with caption "Life is Better with Animals" available for sale now at RM25 each for the shirts and RM20 each for the mugs. To purchase, do drop by during our opening hours or purchase at our online shop.
