CSR Project with SEGI College on 24th June
At the invitation of the college, we had a fruitful day with the Segians. The Segians were introduced to SPCA with a powerpoint presentation on Respect for Life and Care for the Environment with stray animals in Penang, and also how shelters came about. With this, we hope the students will have a deeper understanding on becoming a responsible pet owner should they have in mind to keep a pet in the future.
Community service by students from Reliance College & Disted College
Request from students from other colleges coming into the shelter to do community services were also entertained.

SPCA joined the SMJK Heng Ee Scouts Rover
More than 100 students from the various primary schools attended a three day camp organized by SMJK Heng Ee Scouts Rover at SJKC Jelutong. SPCA was invited to the finale to showcase our puppies and kittens to the students with a view to inculcate a sense of responsibility in them should they decide to own a pet. The children were thrilled when they were allowed to touch, feel and carry the puppies and kittens. Most who do not own and not exposed to animals were encouraged to touch and feel the furry paws.
