Dear Members and Friends,

Our sincere thanks to all for answering  our plea for donations, especially at this tough and difficult time. Although, we do not allow visitors and volunteers into the shelter, we assure you that our work carries on as usual. Thanks to all of you who called to find out how we are faring. We are deeply grateful for your kind thoughts and gestures. To the many of you who have remitted donations into our account and not notified us, kindly drop us a line at info@spca-penang.net. We will return your receipt which is tax exempt. We hope to be able to receive your continued support and noble deeds.

Though we are not able to welcome volunteers to our shelter at the moment, rest assured that we are exercising and interacting with the animals as much as we are able. Here's a video of some of the dogs in the exercise area last week.

We also hope to be able to see a good light at the end of the tunnel soon and be able to welcome you to our shelter. But for now Stay Safe & Stay Home.

"Then & Now"

All is not dull and gloomy - even though we were unable to get any adoptions for the past two months. Our hearts were lifted after hearing from our past adoptees showing us how the cats & dogs were then and now. We are indeed delighted to hear from so many of them.

2021 Desktop Calendar
We have started on the design for the 2021 Calendar and are now opening up for sponsorship bookings for each calendar month.
Funds raised will go towards the neutering of shelter animals and any medical attention needed. We are offering sponsorship of a photo page and calendar page at RM400 for one calendar month. Bookings are on a first come, first served basis and can be done by emailing photos@spca-penang.net. Please let us know which month you would prefer.
Deadline for submitting of photos is June 30, 2020.

Dumping of animals outside the shelter
We are glad to note that  under the Movement Control Order, the office has not received many calls of stray animals sighted and being abandoned, except for pets lost or found.

Volunteer Briefing
On hold until further notice.

From our paws at the shelter, we say 'THANK YOU' to Royal Canin Malaysia Sdn Bhd for sending us 15 bags of cat and dog food for our animals at the shelter.

We anticipate the economy will take a while to recover. NGOs like ours all over are appealing for funds to keep us alive and comfortable. We hope SPCA will be placed on your list of beneficiaries whenever one has in mind again for charity. Do give us a call at 2816559/016-416659 to find out how you can help.

Donations can also be remitted into our bank current account at MBB 5074 3338 3428 or at CIMB 8004040996. We need the donations to maintain our services for the welfare of animals under our care as well as for the general community at large.
